“ While passing through the area, we found Texas Grill and Cafe. We are glad we did! The service was top notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. But the food is why we stopped. We read good reviews, and that helped decide on stopping. I had the split cheeseburger, and I asked for half white and half brown gravies. It was a very unusual hamburger, cut in half with a scoop of mash potatoes between them. It was very good, I personally liked the brown gravy. I also ordered some onion rings, I really like onion rings, I have had hundreds of from many different restaurants. I would say these were in my top 10 onion rings. A nice, light batter on fresh cut onions that was cooked to a nice crispy batter. Deb had a children's hamburger, which was perfect for her. She also the big French fries called house fries. The was hamburger was good, and the fries were really good. We split them so we each had rings and fries. We really enjoyed our meal, we left completely satisfied! ”

“ We were passing through and found this little place! Everyone was great and the food was wonderful!! Great portion sized also! We topped dinner off with a smoothie and 2 shakes!!! “ I called ahead (thank goodness) for a pickup order and I was pleasantly surprised to see they have a drive through pickup window. This made it very convenient to drive down hwy 59 and get a meal that's WAY BETTER than typical highway fastfood chains. I ordered this Jesse Burger and some fried mushrooms and I regret I waited about 45 minutes to eat it. The beef burger was better than a chain restaurant burger. They even had this coffee of the month it was nice. Actually switched to my order from a Coke to a hot coffee and the lady working the window was very nice and he was able to make that happen easily. I'm very glad because probably one of the only reasons I'm going to come back here is because now I know I can have a drive-through coffee that's nice and they probably even have a nice sit down so that's one of those rare places where you can get a nice hot coffee and a great burger in the same place. I might even try one of those exotic burgers one day. The coffee was the hook though. ”
